MIKE PEACHEY (PARTNER) - BORN 1955
Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute Chartered Insurance Practitioner
Mike left school in 1971 aged 16 to join an insurance company and has worked in insurance ever since. His first significant management appointment was in 1982 aged 28, when working for the Jardine, Matheson Group of Companies. Mike was sent to Southampton to revive a loss making marine underwriting operation and to set up a new general branch office. Mike stayed for 3 years until the task was completed and then returned to London.
Mike then spent 3 years as a senior manager in the Group's marine offices in London, following the sale of Jardine Matheson's underwriting operations, before joining Indecs in 1989.
In 1990 Mike was one of a four man buy-out team form British & Commonwealth and became Chairman and Chief Executive Officer when Indecs was sold to Charles Taylor Consulting plc in 1998.
As a main board Director of Charles Taylor, Mike was responsible for the risk management consultancy operations of the Group, including marine consulting and captive insurance company management.
Mike took his team out of Charles Taylor in 2004 and formed Indecs llp, as an independent consultant, leaving in October 2006 to form Mike Peachey llp.
